The Story of Super Smash Bros.

by devaccess

Super Smash Bros. is a game that means many things to many people.

It’s the ultimate party game.

It’s the peak of competition.

And most importantly, it’s a community.

For two decades, Smash has brought people together. It’s a crossover, filled with characters anyone can recognize, but also a game that can bring the casual together with the hardcore to play one more game together.

This is it’s story.

One thing you got wrong. Sakurai didn't get the permission to usw Nintendo-characters first. He did the first draft of the game with N-chars behind Nintendo's back and the result was convincing enough for the game to be finalized.

Smash is not a party game its a fighting game anyone can play. Smash revolves around hitting others. Hitting others is NOT SOMETHING YOU TYPICALLY DO A PARTIES OR WITH FAMILIES

Melee players need to adapt. When your game literally can’t use more than 6 of its characters there’s a problem. You can keep playing but stop shitting on the new games

Smash bros 64: The forgotten child
Smash bros melee: *The Loved and hated child *
Smash bros brawl: the unwanted child
Smash bros 4: The spoiled child
Smash bros ultimate: The Problem child

I tried Melee on dolphin emulator, but I didn't like it. I couldn't figure out how to do anything but single punches and arrow attacks with link. A tutorial or moves list would've helped. So I haven't bought Ultimate even though I have a switch and don't plan to.

This is one of those series I'm curious about but haven't got into at all.

7:31 because it's a broken game and all the fanboys would get butt hurt about whatever rule set Nintendo chose. Nintendo knows the community is cancerous. You have people like Fortune to show how bad and scummy it is.

I just got ultimate. I used to play Brawl at my aunt's place. Years of my life with my cousin raging at master hand, using landmaster, and spamming rocksmash. Oh and Meta Knight tornado.

I can not walk, and it is very frustrating to see others doing things that I can never do, run, jump, sports, dance, walk hand in hand with my girlfriend … if I could make a wish …

I just want a F * king Melee HD to not use CRT …

This is why competitive gaming is a joke. Decades of history and a rich culture of individuals eventually ruined by a few bad apples. All this fluffing the bull and the game still gets removed from the EVO lineup because of dollars over diction. Constant over-exaggeration of 5 players and their love for a game that they throw away the moment the game doesn't play exactly to their liking, as it has for over a decade. Ridiculous.

Idk why Nintendo doesn't do a master chief collection style of Smash, and make them all online.
Maybe they'll realize when everyone plays Melee where and when and how they fucked up.
