I don’t think this is a match that you can be all that enthusiastic about from a betting perspective. Most perspectives would imply a Tiafoe victory but he has been down in form since the 2023 US Open. That event was several months ago now. You do have to think that he will be turning the page and improving his results.
Tiafoe is a player who seems to relish playing in American tournaments more than in other countries. Two of his three titles on the ATP Tour have come in these smaller events in America, those being Houston 2023 and Delray Beach 2018.
Bettors will have to assume that we are going to see a little bit better version of Tiafoe than what we’ve seen out of him in recent months. I’m not thrilled about -225 on the moneyline (bet365). I think if we are assuming that Tiafoe is going to play well then you stick with the set-winning streak against Giron and take the 2-0 victory for Tiafoe at +125 (bet365). The plus odds will prevent having to make a large bet as a winning bet multiplies much nicer than -225 on the moneyline.
