Viewership for the final week of the League of Legends Championship Series
Spring Split was down from the same weekend last year due to a reduced number of tiebreaker matches to determine which teams made the spring playoffs.During the 2018 Spring Split the LCS had five tiebreakers to be played following the league’s nine-week schedule. The top two seeds in the LCS’s six-team playoff had the same record and the remaining four teams in the playoffs also shared a record necessitating a plethora of tiebreaker matches.
While three tiebreakers were played on Sunday. Two were played the Monday after. This year only one tie needed to be broken to determine seeding and the playoff picture for the Spring Split was much clearer.
