Pugna – Dominate The Mid Lane
Pugna can be a dominant hero in the mid lane. Many people take the mid lane with Pugna to earn bonus experience at the start of the game. Pugna has an attack range of 630 that lets him strike enemy units from a safe distance in the mid lane. He has a base health of 580 that allows him stay longer in the mid lane without having to return to his base for regenerating health and mana.
The Intelligence hero has a base Intelligence of 24 and gains a massive 5.2 Intelligence per level. Pugna can purchase a few Null Talismans to increase his mana pool while farming for gold in the mid lane. Null Talisman provides 5 Intelligence, 2 Agility, 2 Strength, and 0.75 mana regeneration to Pugna.
You can buy a Bottle before the first 5 minutes of the game to replenish health and mana to Pugna between waves of creeps. Pugna can collect different runes from the river and store them in a Bottle to activate before battles. Runes such as Arcane and Invisibility can help Pugna plan his attacks to get multi kills in his matches.
Arcane rune reduces the mana cost and cooldown of Pugna’s items and spells, letting Pugna cast more spells during team fights. He can activate the Invisibility rune to become undetectable to enemy heroes in battles. Players can also store and activate Bounty runes to earn more gold while farming with Pugna in the mid lane.
Pugna – Observer Wards can Provide Vision to Allies
The support hero can place Observer Wards around the map to gain vision of enemy heroes. These wards do not cost additional gold and can be purchased throughout the game to provide vision to Pugna and his allies.
You can place Sentry Wards around different lanes with Pugna to reveal invisible heroes. Riki, Bounty Hunter, and Nyx Assassin are some of the heroes that can be hard to detect while playing Dota 2 matches with your friends. These invisible heroes can be easy to spot and kill with a few Sentry Wards placed near Observer Wards.
Pugna – Nuke Multiple Enemies with Nether Blast
Nether Blast is the most useful spell that people can use to get multiple kills with Pugna in Dota 2. Players can deal up to 340 damage to enemy units in a radius of 400 using Nether Blast. You can cast Nether Blast on more than 2 enemy heroes at a time to deal maximum damage with the magical spell during battles. Nether Blast has a cooldown of 5 seconds and consumes 145 mana to be used per cast.
Pugna can use Nether Blast once every 5 seconds, making it effective in nuking enemy heroes. Each instance of Nether Blast requires 145 mana per cast to be used. You can reduce the cooldown of Nether Blast by 1 second through the Talent Tree at level 15.
Pugna – Life Drain can Restore Health During Battles
Players can get Double Kills in Dota 2 matches by using Life Drain on enemy heroes. Life Drain can be used by Pugna to deal 320 damage per second (DPS) to his opponents. Enemy units affected by Life Drain have their health depleted for up to 10 seconds. His ulti, Life Drain, can be used by Pugna on enemy heroes from a distance of 700.
Life Drain restores health to Pugna, allowing the support hero to survive team fights. It has a cooldown of 7 seconds and needs 225 mana to be used in the game. You can purchase an Aghanim’s Scepter for Pugna to reduce the cooldown of Life Drain by 7 seconds. People can buy an Aether Lens with Pugna to gain 300 mana and 2.5 mana regeneration. Aether Lens will increase the cast range of Pugna’s spells and items by 225. Players can upgrade an Aether Lens to an Octarine Core with Pugna to decrease the cooldown of all his abilities and items by 25%.
Pugna – Nether Wards can Turn Team Fights in Your Favor
Pugna can place a Nether Ward to counter nukers and other heroes in the enemy team who tend to cast multiple spells during battles. Nether Wards deal damage to enemy heroes based on the mana points their spells consume to be used per cast. A maxed out Nether Ward can deal up to 1.6 damage per mana point to enemy heroes while fighting Pugna. It can take up to 4 hits from enemy heroes to destroy a Nether Ward. These wards have an attack range of 1400 and last for up to 30 seconds.
You can upgrade Nether Ward using an Aghanim’s Shard to be able to channel Pugna’s ulti, Life Drain, to multiple enemy heroes in team fights. The Aghanim’s Shard increases the cast range of a Nether Ward by 350. You can easily turn the odds of a team fight in your favor by upgrading a Nether Ward after purchasing an Aghanim’s Shard for Pugna. An Aghanim’s Shard can be bought for 1400 gold in the game. The recent 7.32E update for Dota 2 has increased the damage dealt using Life Drain from 70% to 75%.
Pugna – Dagon can Give You Free Kills
Players can get instant kills with Pugna by purchasing a Dagon for the Intelligence hero. A Dagon can be used to deal 400 damage to enemy heroes while playing Pugna. The support hero gains 14 Intelligence, 6 Strength, and 6 Agility by purchasing a Dagon in the game. You can buy a level 1 Dagon for 2700 gold.
Dagon has a cooldown of 35 seconds and requires 120 mana at level 1. People can upgrade a Dagon up to 4 times to deal a maximum of 800 damage to enemy heroes. A level 5 Dagon has a low cooldown of 15 seconds and consumes 200 mana per cast. You can use Dagon with Pugna to get more kills in your games.
Best Allies for Pugna – Earthshaker
Earthshaker is an amazing tank hero in Dota 2. The melee hero can slam the ground with his totem to stun enemies at incredibly far off distances. He can cast Fissure early in his matches to help Pugna get more kills in lanes. Fissure can be used to disable enemy heroes for 1.8 seconds and deals up to 260 damage. Earthshaker can create a ridge using Fissure to block enemy heroes from escaping battles. These ridges can last for up to 8 seconds.
Fissure has a cooldown of 15 seconds and needs 150 mana to be used. Pugna can cast Nether Blast to nuke his opponents who are stunned by Earthshaker using Fissure. Allies can blink into battles using a Blink Dagger and stun enemies with Enchant Totem. Players can gain up to 400% bonus attack damage by casting Enchant Totem.
The passive ability, Aftershock, can be used by Earthshaker to deal a bonus damage of up to 150 per spell. Pugna can slow enemy heroes using Decrepify to increase the amount of damage dealt to enemy heroes by 60% for 3.5 seconds. Decrepify has a cooldown of 7 seconds and needs 80 mana to be used in the game.
Esports teams can try using a combo of Life Drain, Nether Ward, and Echo Slam to eliminate the enemy team in fights. The upgraded Nether Ward and Life Drain lets Pugna get multi kills while teaming up with Earthshaker in his matches.
Best Allies for Pugna – Razor
Razor is a carry hero with a number of spells that help Pugna gain more kills. He can use Plasma Field to hit multiple enemy heroes in a radius of 700 and deal up to 185 damage to them in battles.
Pugna can let Razor drain the attack damage of enemy heroes in team fights using Static Link. Razor can steal up to 22 damage per second for 8 seconds with Static Link to counter melee heroes and other carry heroes in Dota 2. Allies can use Eye of the Storm to weaken enemy heroes with Razor’s ulti to help Pugna mutilate
his enemies.
