OG CS:GO has removed Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen from their active CS:GO division, the European mixture announced on their Twitter handle earlier today. Initially a plethora of reports which suggested these roster shuffles under the OG camp have now been confirmed. Nikolaj joined OG around March 2021 replacing Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt on the roster and was part of the rebuild alongside Shahar “flameZ” Shushan which the former underwent after their assembly back in 2019.

As mentioned above, OG are on the course of yet another overhaul after the team crashed out of the PGL Antwerp RMR European with a loss at the hands of Eternal Fire in their elimination match-up. Despite trading Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen for Nemanja “nexa” Isaković with G2 Esports, the team failed to meet their expectations which indeed forced them back to the drawing board in the bid of kicking off their post major campaign on a high.

With niko, OG secured the championship at the Spring Sweet Spring #2 Cup followed by a runner-up finish at the Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Summer where they were denied the cup by Gambit Esports (now Cloud9).

Sometimes good things must come to an end. I’ve been allowed to explore my options from OG and ready for a new adventure. I have absolutely loved every second of my time with what now feels like a second family and hope to see them center stage in the nearby future

  • Casper “ruggah” Due (Head Coach)

  • Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen (Inactive)
