Both platforms will also collaborate to provide resources for Gen Z students and gamers through sponsorships and increased awareness of the leagues.

The partnership will kick off with the College CoD playoffs and their LAN Championship in May and June 2022. It will also span additional collegiate events throughout the year including the College Carball Summer Open and various Fortnite competitions.

Amy Venier, VP of Gaming & Esports at Fandom, commented: “With over 100,000 gaming communities across our wiki platform and access to over 15 million Gen Z fans, Fandom is excited to deepen our commitment to the esports industry and fans worldwide. We’re proud to partner with eFuse to help champion and support collegiate esports specifically and open the doors for authentic partnerships with advertising partners.”

The partnership is set to include activations such as custom content, media distribution on Fandom, tournament sponsorships, live events and scholarships.

Earlier this year, eFuse also signed a multi-year agreement with Version1, becoming its official strategic branding and competition partner.

Esports Insider says: eFuse keeps investing in collegiate esports by announcing more and more events as well as growing its roster of partners. Moreover, by joining forces with Fandom, eFuse is offering younger gamers opportunities to earn professional experiences and grow in the industry.
