Learn how you can unlock four free Fortnite cosmetics rewards via the Stoneheart Trials.
Fortnite’s Stoneheart Trials have arrived, and players willing to enlist can earn free in-game cosmetic items such as a Spray, Wrap and Pickaxe. We’ve seen similar events in the past, where you can enroll on a website and complete challenges to unlock rewards. Players can participate in the event from February 14 to February 20.
Today, ESTNN explains how to register for the Stoneheart Trials and summarize the process you’ll need to follow to unlock all three rewards. So, join us as we break down Fortnite’s latest ‘Trials’ event.
How to Register for the Stoneheart Trials
Those looking to knock out the Stoneheart Trials challenges should first head to this website. Once there, you’ll need to click ‘Login’ and enter your Epic Games username and password. You will unlock one badge and the ‘Doomed Affair Spray’ reward if done successfully. Your next step is to earn 11 badges, which allows you to gather the remaining prizes.
How to Unlock 11 Badges in the Stoneheart Trials
While not necessarily easy to accomplish, the Stoneheart Trials’ challenges are pretty straightforward. The website indicates that those participating in the event need to finish inside the top ten in Solo matches. You will earn a badge every two times that you manage a top-ten result. If our math is correct, you need a top-ten finish in 20 matches to unlock the Wrap and Pickaxe.
Here’s a quick recap of how you can obtain the three Stoneheart Trials rewards:
- Doomed Affair Spray: Register for Stoneheart Trials
- Hearty Wrap: Earn six total badges (ten top-ten finishes in Solo matches)
- Thorns of Passion Pickaxe: Earn 11 total badges (20 top-ten finishes in Solo games)
You can check your progress on the event’s website by clicking “CHECK MY STATS.” However, keep in mind that it may take up to an hour to update the system.
How to Unlock Grim Devotion Emoticon
The final cosmetic item you can earn during the Stonheart Trials is the Grim Devotion Emoticon. You do not need badges to unlock this one. Instead, scroll down on the event website to where it reads “The Stoneheart Night Tournament.” Epic Games invited content creators to compete in a Creative Mode tournament where fans choose the venue. To unlock the Emoticon, you’ll need to vote for one of the maps and then play on any of them.
If you follow all steps successfully, you’ll have four free cosmetics in your locker, courtesy of the Stoneheart Trials. The event concludes on February 20, at which point the partnered streamers will compete against each other in the Stoneheart Night Tournament.
That means you have six days to earn 11 badges. It may not be easy, considering the average Fortnite player possesses more skills nowadays than in previous seasons. Your best bet is to play smart and avoid fighting as much as possible while rotating to the next zone. That strategy would allow you to maximize your chance of placing inside the top ten.
