Red Bull Partners With Loco to Create Esports Content For India – The Esports Observer|home of essential esports business news and insights

Red Bull has announced a partnership with Indian streaming platform Loco to create and broadcast esports content in the region. Both parties will work together to feature titles in various game categories.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Red Bull owns several esports-related IPs in India such as the Red Bull Flick Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. The two- versus-two format is different from the conventional CS:GO structure and is open to both amateurs and professional players. The players also play on custom Red Bull maps, created specifically for the tournament. The finals for Red Bull Flick will be livestreamed on Loco on June 13.

The partnership will also extend to the Red Bull R1v1r Runes Dota 2 tournament, as well as Red Bull MEO, a global IP focusing on mobile games.

Loco is owned by digital media company Pocket Aces. The parent company also owns several media channels including Filter Copy and Dice Media. Both channels have followings in the millions on YouTube. Loco partnered with Fnatic in April to host a PUBG MOBILE charity tournament known as #GamingForGood (AFK Gaming was a media partner for that event).
