Dignitas, coL battle it out for longest CSGO game in 2020 » TalkEsport

CSGO fans who tuned in to the game one of the ESL One: Road to Rio Group A match between Complexity and Dignitas might take a while to recover from the ride the match has been. After all, how often do you see a game that goes on for a whopping 54 rounds?

The entire match was an emotional rollercoaster filled with thrills decorated for the viewers to experience. The game seemed to hop back and forth between the two teams for the entirety of the 54 rounds and at no point did the game seem one-sided.

As the match went on, the game grew more and more intense as the overtimes kept on coming. The game saw 4 overtimes taking place in the match. The scoreline first tied at 15:15, then 18:18 then again at 21:21 and once again at 24:24, before coming to a conclusion with Complexity defeating Dignitas at 28:24.

After Complexity turned the scoreline to 24:23, the match nearly seemed over for Dignitas. An unexpected peek from oBo caught GeT_RiGhT and Xizt completely off-guard before getting traded followed by a quick kill from Konfig. The remaining terrorists however, held their ground and managed to clutch the round forcing another overtime.

Throughout the final overtime, Complexity seemed to take charge as they didn’t leave even a small room of mistake for their rivals to capitalize on, clean sweeping them without taking a casualty in the 49th round and winning the next two rounds of the half without a hint of trouble. The 54th round witnessed Dignitas throwing some good retaliation from the CT side, as the game was brought down to a 1 vs 1 situation between Konfig and Xizt which was won by the former.

After 54 nerve-wracking rounds, Complexity finally emerged victorious in game 1 with the following games 2 and 3 yet to come.
