How Hitting Rock Bottom Helped Myth Get Back on Top

by devaccess

Valorant’s popping off on Twitch. The game jumped to the top of the streaming world, with viewers flooding select streams that dropped access to the game’s closed beta. And one of those streamers is none other than TSM’s very own, Myth.

For almost every other streamer, this type of viewership was a once in a lifetime opportunity. But not for Myth. A couple of years ago he found himself in a similar situation, just with a battle royale instead of a tactical shooter.

Because of this the name “the young architect” doesn’t just stand for his skill to build in fortnite it stands for his skill to keep building his passion as a gamer to keep going even when you have no Materials, myth figures out how to make his own materials and build an even stronger community around him better then his old fortnite days myth is not only a myth not only is he “the young architect” he is Ali Kabbani the legend thank you for your time : ^ )

People had ridiculously high expectations for Myth back in the first Fortnite tournament, the Pro AM in 2018 after countless bot races, he performed very very badly and everybody figured out that he wasn't good like everybody thought

Any valorant streamer numbers rn are just all over the place. Who’s ACTUALLY watching the stream and not just there afking to get a drop? Still respects to myth. One of the VERY few fortnite streamers I could watch

I used to watch myth a bit back in the day because he was a great builder at the time. I stopped watching not because of his personality but because many others, notably Ninja and Tfue, simply surpassed his skill level. While Myth sat in 1x1s for minutes on end, Ninja and Tfue would be racking up 20-30 kills. And they performed better under pressure for tournaments. Myth is a good guy, it's just I'd rather watch higher level gameplay if I'm going to watch anything. That's just me though.

ummm is this not ignoring the fact that drops distort viewership by around 80% in some cases

so ur saying he came back by imitating xqc. man tbh after myth stop being a pro he kinda developed a good personality. Before, he was just a serious player trynna be a pro. Now he's just simply trying to stream and not pursuing the pressure of pro play.

Reply
Ellery Ballou April 29, 2020 - 8:13 am

Noooo, he had a hard time going live on twitch? He struggled with getting paid to play video games? That's the WORST! I felt so sorry for him

Bunch of streamers baiting on valorant isn't a good idea, it's difficult for them to survive on such skills only hardcore tactical shooters, only streamers who are very competitive or the kinds of shroud and summit1g can enjoy it for long time.

Yeah, but all the numbers are inflated because of drops. Shady practices lead to shady numbers.
