Today, FLASHPOINT announced that it has partnered with Pinnacle as its sports betting partner and the league’s first official sponsor. FLASHPOINT is a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league that is co-funded by 10 organizations including Gen.G, Cloud9, and Dignitas.
According to the announcement, Pinnacle will be the title sponsor of pre-show activities including talent predictions, fan polls for featured matches, and providing the latest odds for in-play betting.
“We’re delighted to partner with Pinnacle who sees our vision for a sustainable and profitable CS:GO league built for the fans,” said Kent Wakeford, co-founder of Gen.G Esports, one of the founding teams in the league. “We believe we will have one of the most entertaining leagues in the world to develop the next generation of talent and players. We want our fans to interact with FLASHPOINT in unprecedented ways. Pinnacle will bring that level of engagement for us.”
The Pinnacle Open starts today with LAN Qualifiers that sees eight teams competing at the FACEIT Studios in Los Angeles for a chance to secure a spot in FLASHPOINT’s March 13 opening weekend in Los Angeles.
Competing will be North America qualifiers Chaos Esports Club and We Are Orgless, South America qualifiers Detona Gaming and Redemption POA, European qualifiers Avez Esport and SKADE GG, and Invited qualifiers BIG Clan and Copenhagen Flames. These teams were among more than 1,800 entrants from across the three regions who played in open qualifying rounds between Feb. 6-17.
