ESL One Hamburg’s second day of group stage matches gave the South American Dota a ray of hope, embodied only by beastcoast at the event. Under the beastcoast flag, the former Infamous kids at TI9 are competing in the new season and they got a direct invite to Hamburg, but their results on day 1 were abysmal.
The five SA players today went 4-0 in Group A from a 0-4 overall result on day one to escape relegation. Their two straight wins were recorded over the Fighting PandaS of Virtus.pro and EternaLEnVy. Sadly for the EE supporters, there was no better day two and their squad is now in danger of being disqualified. The other team on Group A’s very end is Vikin.gg.
While beastcoast will have the opportunity to take another 2-0 win tomorrow and challenge one of the group’s top two spots to progress to the top bracket playoffs, both Vikin.gg and Fighting PandaS must compete in the tournament for their lives.
Alliance and Vici Gaming stayed dominant in the tournament and closed day 2 on Group A’s first two spots. In the team, beastcoast is now second, while Virtus.pro is fourth.
