Banned for Cheating in the Dumbest esport

by devaccess

Okay so e-cycling, it’s you riding a stationary bike in a virtual world against other competitors with some fancy tracking software attached.

The British Cycling Association got involved and created a national championship.

And the guy who won the first-ever national championship was recently banned for six months, stripped of his gold medal and fined $400 for uh…robo doping?

We wish we were kidding.

This game is dumb as fck… I mean seriously these guys wanna change cycling into an e sport (why would some one do that)
Second every player must be having the same cycle in the tournament (then how the hell will the game be equal for all players)
Seriously this game must not exist (just like fortnite)

Lets get somethibg straight – dumbest esport is not true. During actual competition these guys are actually sweating pulling massive wattage (measure of cycling effort). People call all the other games you worship dumb. This is no more than kettle calling the pot black. Lame

4:00 did you think about this before you said it? there is rng in plenty of esports, thinking mainly of power runes in dota (thats what i play). there's percent chance to stun, to evade, spells and abilities and items with percent chance to proc… the list goes on. this video seems to go out of its way to denigrate this game, and why? is it too close to real sports to be cool?

This guy is semi-mocking the esport off the fact it has randomized powerups and what not, yet this same channel acts like Fortnite isnt just an RNG fiesta.

Never heard of this and I am more into the FPS type games but you are being a hypocrite to call this a stupid esport when people on ESPN call all our favorite games stupid and should not have the word 'sport' in e-sport. They are competing like we are in FPS. Except there is more physically demanding than ours in CSGO.

That being said, the guy did cheat by sharing his account info and allowed a bot to play his account. This is suspendable in all games I can think of there. Account sharing to unlock items.

Also, everyone should have had their bikes fully unlocked. That is obviously an oversight on the companies' part but you calling it a stupid 'esport' is funny because I am sure you don't like it when they call our CSGO games 'not a sport' on ESPN and news.

PS: He failed to qualify with the minimum requirements. He PAID a person to logon and use software to unlock a bike for him. He didn't do it.

Example:

I want to play at Blizzcon 2019. 3v3 arena. I pay pro players from other countries (People do this. Called boosting) to play my character and get me the highest rank needed to qualify. I cheated to get to Blizzcon. I took someone else's spot by paying someone else to qualify for me. It does not matter that some people already dropped out of race. He paid someone to get him qualified like someone would for blizzcon with arena ratings.

There are a lot of "CrazyRacing KartRider" tournaments in Asia, I believe it is the biggest racing cybersports there. Don't they use powerups (bonuses) during tournament races?

What he did is called an ex-law. The best way to understand an ex-law is with an example: Imagine there's no laws about having a gun so you decide to buy one but years later a new law that forbids weapons is created, you bought your gun before the law but you will still be breaking the law.

Okay so this might be a bit weird but does anyone know anything about competitive pokemon, because I don't know a single person who legitimately obtains their pokemon and this year the prizepool for worlds was half a million dollars. These people aren't even doing it maliciously at this point everyone has just given up trying to do anything legitimately because game freak doesn't care about its player base.

Obtaining in game rewards illegitimately isn't uncommon in esports, at the end of the day it's about everyone being on the same playing field once the competition starts because that's where it counts, whether they rode up a mountain or not.

If i ever interested in eCycling Esports/Gaming, ill probably hook my Perfomante in Dyno and connect that cycling thing they use and pull it up to 6th gear top speed of my car. Easy Tron bike, but still not my type of game. Still Fuck Blizzard Bootlicker , Tencent and Chinese Government.

No complains about the story or e-bike racing or anything, but ridiculing an esport no matter how stupid or boring it may look isn't what I was expecting from this channel.

I think they chose burrito because its generally believed that burrito's will cause you to have really bad farts. So as far as the game goes, when the person "eats the burrito" they are farting so much and it smells so bad that no one will stay behind you because of your smell.

I legit thought you were saying "rowboat" doping. I was sitting here thinking "How tf could training your arms help you in a game where you basically only use your legs?"

If a game is made that two or more people can play against each other and one can clearly win, is an eSports. You guys sitting here mocking that is the same shit that Gamers had to deal with 10 years ago with boomers saying that we were wasting our time. You are meant to represent gaming. So to sit here mocking an eSport, regardless of how silly it seems to you, is just wrong.

This could all be avoided if they did something like, say, they made everybody use the same default bike so no player has an advantage over another simply because they've done some ridiculous achievement in the game. That's like if skins in league of legends gave you extra base stats like in some mobile MOBAs, and there were no restrictions in the tournaments.
