10 Dota 2 players have been issued permanent bans from Valve ahead of the new DPC season.
The new Dota 2 DPC is about to begin in just a couple of weeks. Following the roster changes, we already know the players’ names and the teams they will be a part of. However, it seems like we might see a couple of changes because Valve and PGL released a list of 10 players that received a permanent ban.
You may not recognize everyone, but one of the most popular ones is Kamil “Koma” Biktimirov. He is Virtus.Pro’s new carry player and one of the team’s start. However, due to account sharing and impersonating members of other teams during tournament games, he is among the ones that received a permanent ban.
More information about the problem
As a result of account sharing and impersonating members of other teams during tournament games, the following players are permanently banned by Valve:
Paradise’
Keintseru
SuperNova
Illusion
Lilskrip
Koma`
Chambl
Limtless
[T]SA
deihraPGL will also ban these players.

Valve is notorious for being one of the big companies that pay close attention to everything that happens within the esports scene. Since the brand owns CSGO and Dota 2, two of the biggest esports titles, it always takes action against those that violate the rules.
Sadly, this is a common issue in CSGO and Dota 2. However, unlike CSGO, where most players are banned for cheating, professional Dota 2 starts usually get banned for account sharing. That’s why some people weren’t surprised when PGL announced that Valve has banned 10 players.
Names of banned players:
- Danil “illusion” Grzhevka
- Kamil “Koma`” Biktimirov
- Bisembaev “lilskrip” Bauyrzhan
- Aslan “Paradise” Vadilov
- Vladislav “Imba4” Khoroltsev
- Kirill “deihra” Haritonov
- Sergey “[T]SA” Timchenko
- Daminov “keintseru” Emil
- Yaroslav “Limitless” Parshin
- Viktor “SuperNova” Galichkin
The bans
As mentioned, Koma is the most popular player on the list because he recently became a part of VP. However, considering that he has been banned, it is highly unlikely to see him in action anytime soon. In fact, Virtus.Pro has announced that they are aware of the situation and will try to investigate what has happened. Don’t be surprised if the team adds a new carry shortly.
Aside from Koma, Limitless is another popular name on the list that we won’t see anymore if Valve doesn’t change its decision. Yaroslav was a part of several popular teams, including HellRasiers and Alliance.
The remaining players were a part if different Tier 2 and Tier 2 squads, but there were a few that did not have any team right now.
Why did Valve ban these players?
As mentioned, Valve decided to ban these players because they were using each other’s accounts to play professional games. Needless to say, this is a serious breach of the rules, which is why Valve had to take drastic measures. Some may think it is a bit too much, but it is what it is.
Some people might not remember, but Valve released another substantial ban wave earlier this year. In March, the company banned several players from Team Apex and Team Orca for the same reason.
It will be interesting to see whether Valve will change its decision about these players and allow them to come back to the professional scene eventually. If that doesn’t happen, they’ll will either have to focus on something else or quit gaming because they won’t be able to be a part of any team.
