The language school network Wizard by Pearson signed on Monday as the official sponsor of the first broadcasted championship of Riot’s Teamfight Tactics (TFT) in Brazil. The company said that entering the world of esports is strategic for opening up communication with a young audience that is in frequent contact with the English language.
The championship, which will be called “TFT Challenge powered by Wizard,” is being organized by BBL, an entertainment holding company that includes brands such as the esports producer ESL in Brazil. The competition will serve as the qualifying round for the Teamfight Tactics Galaxies Championship, the first world TFT championship, and will be held between July 13-31.
Wizard by Pearson, the world’s largest language school network, has more than 1,200 language schools in Brazil. Following the sponsorship, it plans to release new content aimed at the gamer universe over July, August and September.
