What’s on this week? Ft LCS Summer

by David Hollingsworth

We start the week off over in the USA with the LCS. as the league heads into the fourth week, a rather odd situation has arisen with six teams sitting in join 1st place with equal 4-2 records. We stay in America for our second and third picks of the week as we head to the Overwatch League as the Vancouver Titans lead the charge in Stage 3. Lastly, we check in with the final week of regular play in the Smite Pro League.

LCS 2019 Summer Week Four

LCS

This week we head to America for our League of Legends action as we check in on the LCS. It’s been a good year for the LCS in 2019, with Team Liquid having a monster showing at MSI, taking down World Champions Invictus Gaming 3-1 before falling to LEC representative G2 Esports in the final 3-0.

That’s in the past, however, As we head into the fourth week of the LCS Summer, the LCS is in a rather unusual 6 way tie with Cloud9, CLG, Golden Guardian, OpTiC, Team Liquid and TSM all holding 4-2 record, with Clutch Gaming behind them with 3-3 whilst 100 Thieves, Echo Fox and FlyQuest round out the table with 1-5 records. Week four should see a number of changes in LCS standings as a number of the top sides face off, with Team Liquid, TSM and Cloud9 especially looking to keep their form going heading into Rift Rivals against a currently dominant looking European opponent.

2019 Overwatch League Stage Three – Week One

Season 2, stage 3 of the Overwatch League is now well underway. Right now the San Francisco Shock and new side Vancouver Titans lead the pack to take the crown off the London Spitfire. As far as Stage 3 standings go, Vancouver is already well in the lead with a 4-0 record, followed by New York Excelsior with 3-0 and Shanghai Dragon at 4-0, it’s probably too early to look into the standing, but Vancouver are certainly looking sharp.

Alongside the season 1 teams, Atlanta Reign, Paris Eternal, Toronto Defiant, Washington Justice, Chengdu Hunters, Guangzhou Charge, Hangzhou Spark and the previously mentioned Vancouver Titans will all be looking to gain points and take down season 1 champions London Spitfire.
