Twitch, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), Verizon, and TurboTax have teamed up to present the Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl. This three-part series started with NFL players and Twitch streamers competing in four Fortnite highlight matches, which was then followed by a draft tournament online. The main tournament takes place on January 30 and will be streamed live from Miami during the week of Super Bowl LIV.
The Draft Showdown took place on Jan. 16 and saw Dominick “UnknownxArmy” Green win, drafting first in the “Verizon 5G First Pick of the Draft” selecting Avonte Maddox of the Philadelphia Eagles to be his partner.
On Jan. 30, the Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl finals and its $500K charity prize pool will be streamed live from Miami during the NFLPA’s Player Party. From 5-8 p.m.EST. The streamers will have drafted their NFL partners and will battle to see who are the best at Fortnite duos.
Additionally, Verizon will be handing out the “Verizon 5G MVP trophy” to the most valuable player.
