This week, easylive.io (a cloud-based service suite for producing, editing, and live streaming video content) announced it had raised $2.5M USD from French esports technology-focused venture fund, Trust Esport. According to the company, it plans to increase its workforce by almost 40% by the end of the year.
Founded in 2017 by Philippe Laurent, Clément Sanchez, and Nicolas Ehrmann, easylive.io runs offices in the U.S. (New York and San Francisco) as well as in France (Paris, Bordeaux, and Strasbourg). Twitch and Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League, are current customers of the company.
“The company has continued to grow strongly in 2019 and is aiming to become number one in sport and esports through a range of exclusive functions specific to these markets,” said Trust Esport venture fund founder Matthieu Dallon in a release. “By taking a stake in easylive.io, Trust Esport is seeking to finance both innovation and market acceleration in the entertainment industries.”
Last month, Make.TV, an ESL and PGL partner as well as easylive.io competitor, was acquired by LTN Global.
