“Totino’s has been an incredible partner for our Call of Duty team and ‘[02100]’ docu-series, so we couldn’t be happier that the company is now a presenting sponsor of our Fortnite team as well,” 100 Thieves’ founder and CEO, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag said in a release. “The Atlanta house will allow our professional players to practice the same way they’ll compete, and the ‘Loot’ series will give our fans a closer look at their journeys to success. We’re stoked—we can’t wait for what’s next for our Fortnite team.”
In the coming weeks, 100 Thieves will release a video tour of its new, Atlanta-based Totino’s World Cup House. The living/training hub will become the new home to three of 100 Thieves’ professional Fortnite players. Specific player names were not disclosed.
The sponsorship and content announcements will lead up to the Fornite World Cup qualifiers and finals. The finals will take place in New York City from July 26-28 and offer a $30M USD prize pool, the highest ever developer-funded prize pool in esports history.
Totino’s has been an active participant in esports for many years. The frozen pizza brand hosted a Call of Duty invitational in 2015 and in 2018 became the first non-endemic sponsor of the Pittsburgh Knights.
