Houston Outlaws acquired by Beasley Media Group

Immortals Gaming Club sold Overwatch League franchise Houston Outlaws to Beasley Media Group.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed at the time of writing. The media company already has experience in the esports industry, having invested in Renegades in April.

Complexity Gaming to sit comfortably with Herman Miller partnership

North American organisation Complexity Gaming added furniture company Herman Miller as its official seating partner.

The deal also sees Herman Miller appointed as the title sponsor of Complexity’s innovation lab at its GameStop Performance Center.

ReKTGlobal receives investment from Landon Collins

ReKTGlobal, the parent company of Rogue and London Royal Ravens, has received investment from NFL athlete Landon Collins.

Financial details of the Washington Redskins athlete’s investment were not disclosed at the time of writing. He joins other celebrity investors: Nicky Romero, Marco “Tainy” Masís, Lex Borrero, members of Imagine Dragons, DJ Steve Aoki, and Rudy Gobert.

Fnatic launches merchandise collection with Hello Kitty

London-based organisation Fnatic launched a limited-edition apparel collection with Hello Kitty.

The collection, which was made in collaboration with Sanrio, was available for purchase on November 15th, with more drops set to follow later in 2019.

Helix eSports Center to open in Patriot Place

Kraft Sports & Entertainment, Patriot Place, and Helix eSports joined forces to announce esports complex Helix eSports Center, which will be located in Patriot Place.

The 18,000 square foot venue will act as the training facility for Overwatch League franchise Boston Uprising and is set to open in January next year.
