Spanish esports organisation Team Heretics has announced Malaga-based company BeSoccer as its new technological partner.
BeSoccer will be tasked with building a website and specialised application for the organisation. The deal was initially revealed at Team Heretic’s gaming house.
Javier Gonzalez, Head of Operations and Partner at BeSoccer commented on the deal: “We saw that esports has a lot of crossover with our users and Team Heretics was the spark we needed to enter the scene. Starting with them is like starting with Real Madrid… There’s no one way to consume esports like there is in traditional sport, all in one place. We want to create a model that all other clubs want to replicate.
As a result of this partnership, BeSoccer will create a new website and application for Team Heretics, taking what it has achieved from the world of football and bringing it to esports. The aim of the website and app is to provide the club’s fans with news and tournament updates. Both products are set to be launched in the latter half of August.
Antonio Catena, CEO of Team Heretics added: “The key to the club will always be our fans, that’s why, thanks to BeSoccer, we want to feel closer to them and that they feel part of everything that happens in Team Team Heretics. About the website and application. It will not be a website to use as other teams have but, will be completely new and with very special content.
The announcement follows Team Heretics unveiling new partnerships with both adidas and Logitech G in the past month.
Esports Insider says: Team Heretics has had a meteoric rise in the past few months, going from a Spanish organisation to a brand known internationally across esports. If BeSoccer can create a comprehensive website and app experience for Team Heretics in the vein of what they’ve done for football fans in Spain, this may be something we see other esports teams follow in future.
