Steelers vs Browns Injury Report: NFL Week 11 Betting Tips

by Shane Lambert

In upcoming NFL action, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns will face one another on Sunday, November 19th, 2023 (1:00 PM ET). This game will be the first one the Browns will be playing after the news of the DeShaun Watson injury, one that ended their QB1’s season. The Browns are favored in the game at -1.0 (bet365) but there’s plenty of room to be skeptical of their chances. The Steelers vs Browns injury report is a small one for Cleveland but they could be viewed as underdogs all the same.

Confused by abbreviations? Injury-report codes are in the tweet below.

The Browns had a lot of players on their injury report to start the week. However, of the thirteen names that appeared on the report only three of them were DNP or LP after Friday’s practice. But the injury report focuses on active players. It will not have the DeShaun Watson injury because he’s on the injured reserve.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who is a rookie, has played meaningful snaps in just one NFL game this regular season. That was against Baltimore, meaning it was a tough game. However, the offense managed just three points with him at the helm.

Also, statistically, he was not up to par. He threw for just 121 yards, had a QB rating of 25.3, and a QBR of 25.7. He rushed a little bit but that certainly didn’t make up for a 3-INT game. If he does what he did last game, then Pittsburgh is going to have a lot of time of possession.

Minkah Fitzpatrick’s injury to be noted

The Steelers will be without Minkah Fitzpatrick for this game, one of the better defensive players on the team. They also have a couple of other starters with problems. But Pittsburgh also has some depth on defense. The team should be eager to have a look at DTR following his weak appearance against Baltimore earlier this season.

A handicap of +1.0 certainly looks attractive on Pittsburgh, even on the road. In taking that, you would simply be banking on Cleveland looking very different in this upcoming game than they have for most of the season. That’s not unreasonable at all given how drastic the effects can be with changes in QBs.

Steelers vs Browns Injury Report: Betting Tips

But there is a same-game parlay that bettors might take particular interest in because it’s at 7 to 1 with a Bet Boost (bet365). These three conditions would need to apply: (1) Pittsburgh to win; (2) Kenny Pickett to throw 1+ TDs; (3) Pickett to pass 200+ yards. The odds are boosted from +575 to +700 in that case.

Pickett’s stats this season would make you skeptical of his chances of satisfying the requirements above. However, if DTR isn’t up to par, then Pittsburgh might end up with the ball a little more often in this upcoming game. Pickett did throw for a TD and 222 yards against Cleveland on September 18th, a game the Steelers won. +700 looks like a very good risk for the parlay for this Sunday’s game.
