- The deal provides platform-neutral and TV-exclusive rights for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
- eSPORTS1 also broadcasts live competitions for games such as League of Legends, Overwatch, and FIFA 19.
German sports network SPORT1 has signed a partnership with DreamHack
to broadcast Counter-Strike: Global OffensiveThe deal will see five total tournaments broadcast via SPORT1’s eSPORTS1 premium TV channel, with platform-neutral and TV-exclusive rights for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. eSPORTS1 will broadcast the CS:GO DreamHack Masters tournaments in Dallas and Malmö, Sweden along with the Rocket League DreamHack Pro Circuit tournaments from Dallas, Valencia, Spain, and Montreal.
“With DreamHack, we welcome onboard our next strong content partner to eSPORTS1, with their considerable experience of showcasing major eSports events,” said SPORT1 COO TV and board member Daniel von Busse, in a release. “With the new partnership, eSPORTS1 now offers live events from all currently popular eSports games. DreamHack Masters is one of the top event series in CS:GO—our viewers can look forward to some first-class entertainment. We are convinced that even the still-relatively-new Rocket League will also be a hit with the community.”
