Cologne-based team organization SK Gaming has extended its partnership with HYLO to include branding on player jerseys. Following an initial partnership in H2 2019 and at the start of 2020, HYLO will continue to supply the club’s players with eye care products, and be featured in content throughout the year focusing on “the importance of eye care for professional as well as casual gamers.”
Financial terms were not disclosed.
HYLO is the eye care brand of medicine and health products company URSAPHARM Arzneimittel. The company has been marketing specifically to gamers, noting that an average person blinks four-five times a minute while using a smartphone or while gaming, compared to 15-20 times a minute normally — resulting in a “dry eye syndrome.”
