Gaming chair brand Secretlab has been announced as the official gaming seat for Dota 2’s The International 2019.
The chair will be used at the event, which started on August 14th, by players from each of the 18 teams in attendance.
Secretlab’s official Dota 2 chairs will feature the Radiant and Dire factions from the game’s lore and will be available in its OMEGA and TITAN models. These chairs will be available for the public to purchase.
Ian Alexander Ang, CEO and Co-founder of Secretlab commented on the partnership: “To provide our award-winning gaming chairs for The International 2019, and to support the rigours and standards of the world’s most skilled Dota 2 professional players is the highest testament of the quality of our gaming seats and the team’s continued efforts in creating a top-quality product made for the top professionals.”
The group stages of The International 2019 are already underway, leading up to the grand final on August 25th. The event will feature the largest prize pool in esports history – a figure which has already increased by another $3 million (£2.4 million) since we covered provided an update in July.
Secretlab is also the gaming chair partner of the StarLadder Berlin Major, one of Valve’s two official CS:GO Major tournaments in 2019. It’s also partnered with Astralis, Riot Games’ LCS, Cloud9, Team Secret, PGL, Newbee, and OGN.
Esports Insider says: Esports events and gaming chair brands: name a more common duo. In all seriousness, there will be a lot of eyes on TI9 throughout its lifespan so now’s the perfect time to advertise Dota-themed products on a broadcast.
