Specialty controller maker Scuf Gaming has announced a partnership with Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo de Assís Moreira, better known as Ronaldinho.
Moreira will serve as an official brand ambassador for Scuf Gaming, and the company will create a customized controller for Moreira’s new esports team, R10. In 2018, Moreira helped found the eLiga Sul league for Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series.
“To perform on the pitch, I relied on the best boots,” said Moreira, in a release. “In the game, I need a Scuf controller to win.”
Moreira won the 2002 World Cup with Brazil, and played for teams such as FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and A.C. Milan during his professional career. He retired in early 2018.
Scuf Gaming is partnered with a number of companies, leagues, teams, and players in the esports ecosystem, including Activision Blizzard, the Call of Duty World League, ESL, the NBA 2K League, and OpTic Gaming.
