Rogue parent company ReKTGlobal announced that it has partnered with TalentX to create TalentX Gaming (TXG). The joint venture is aimed at expanding TalentX’s footprint in the content creation management sector by creating a separate company to cultivate talent in the gaming and esports space. ReKTGlobal will help facilitate this venture by “bridging the gap” between esports, music, entertainment, and traditional sports.
The company will focus on managing gamers, esports athletes, and streamers. TalentX gained notoriety by representing a roster of the top 1% of TikTok content creators in just six months. TalentX represents some of the top creators on TikTok, including members of Sway House which includes Josh Richards, Griffin Johnson, Anthony Reeves, Bryce Hall, Kio Cyr, and Jaden Hossler. The venture saw 1M people follow the group on TikTok in the first month.
Jason Wilhelm will serve as CEO of the new joint venture with ReKTGlobal and TXG operating as sister companies. The two will collaborate regularly in creating opportunities for creator, influencer, and brand clients of both companies.
Tal Fishman, known as “Reaction Time” on YouTube, is the co-founder and head of content for TalentX who started the company after finding success as a content creator on that platform. Jason Wilhelm, the co-founder and chief strategy officer of TalentX, was a Call of Duty content creator before joining SoaR esports as managing director.
“We’re really excited to be joining forces with TalentX to create TalentX Gaming,” Founder and Chairman Amish Shah told The Esports Observer. “Dave, my co-founder, and I have been looking for the right company to enter the space for over 2 years to add to our portfolio but no one had the right DNA or fit until we met the founders.”
ReKTGlobal ownership includes musical artists Steve Aoki, Imagine Dragons, and Nicky Romero; pro athletes Rudy Gobert, Landon Collins and Taylor Fritz; and lead investor Nick Gross. The company owns Rogue and the London Royal Ravens Call of Duty League team.
