Puntt enters commercial agreement with Aquarius AI

by Cody Luongo

Consumer acquisition technology firm Aquarius AI has signed a letter of intent to enter a commercial agreement with RPGG Media, owner and operator of UK-based esports wagering platform Puntt.

The proposed license deal will provide Aquarius AI with exclusive rights to Puntt’s platform in Canada, as well as non-exclusive rights to other regions across the world including the United States. Aquarius AI will utilise its “proprietary technology to power customer acquisition” and hopes to bring value to the North American esports betting market.

Puntt, which launched officially in March, is a UK-licensed tote betting platform which allows users to bet against one another, rather than against the odds defined by a bookmaker. With this system, users can place wagers on individual players in exotic markets such as most kills. Currently, the platform supports betting pools on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, with plans to onboard League of Legends next, and other leading esports titles later in the year.

Phill Adams, CEO of Puntt, commented on the partnership in a release: “RPGG Media is driven by a desire to offer esports fans a safe, fair and well-regulated platform to wager on the tournaments they love. We are delighted to be working with Aquarius to bring our platform to many more in the esports community. Aquarius’ online marketing experience will help us grow our audience and increase customer choice in a market that is currently dominated by bookmakers.”

On June 15th, Aquarius AI announced its intention to reposition the company and its proprietary custom acquisition technology to prioritise esports before attacking the wider betting environment. The new business model kindled the hiring of Gambling entrepreneur Graham Martin, a founder of Bonne Terre Ltd, better known as Sky Bet; Martin has been appointed as President of Aquarius AI, and will join the Board of Directors to lead the company’s charge into esports betting.

Martin also spoke on the deal: “We are delighted to join with Phill and his team, with our technology and Puntt’s unique Esport betting platform, this rapidly expanding new marketplace of entertainment, will be very exciting.”

Esports Insider says: Although Puntt may be the new kid on the esports betting block, it has certainly found a powerful partner in Aquarius AI, and with it, a deep pool of gambling expertise to tap into. RPGG Media, which is currently in the midst of a fundraising round, will likely have gained the inside track thanks to this commercial agreement.
