Chicago-based investment firm PEAK6, who acquired Evil Geniuses in May of 2019, announced that Judi Hart has been appointed as chief operating officer, effective immediately. According to the the release, Hart will serve as a strategic partner to PEAK6’s core businesses and be “responsible for safeguarding the culture and overseeing the optimization and execution of operations across all portfolio companies and brands.” Hart has been chief people officer at the company since July 2018.
With the new appointment, Hart is charged with strategically positioning the broader organization for continued growth and providing support to portfolio company leadership. Also, She will also work with new investment properties and their leadership teams to ensure a “smooth transition into the PEAK6 operating environment.”
Hart joined PEAK6 from Apple where she was director of human resources for the media business of internet and software services. Previously, she served as vice president of people and Culture at Beats Music and Beats Electronics. Prior to joining Beats, Hart held an HR leadership role at Blizzard Entertainment.
