Gaming peripheral brand HyperX and esports organization Panda Global have launched a co-branded line of HyperX’s gaming eyewear. This is the latest development in the pair’s long-running partnership, which has in the past featured social media engagement, content creation, and participation in various fighting game exhibitions hosted by HyperX.
While HyperX has most commonly engaged esports brands to promote its headphone, mouse and keyboard lines, the company has produced its Gaming Eyewear brand since 2017.
Many organizations have developed branded merchandise such as apparel and gaming peripherals, but Panda Global has taken a somewhat unique approach to the strategy. The organization was the first to partner with lighter brand Zippo, which used the partnership to enter the gaming space with a line of electric handwarmers.
Panda Global also last year released its own GameCube controller adapter for the Nintendo Switch. The device allows for the use of controllers designed for the older Nintendo system to be used for Switch games (the majority of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate competitors prefer using GameCube controllers in high level competition).
Earlier this month, Panda Global announced an expansion to its corporate structure, adding five new full-time staff members.
