NODWIN Gaming has partnered with Indian telecom operator Airtel to launch a national ranking and award system to reward Indian esports players for their performances over the course of a year.

Dubbed the “Airtel India Esports Tour,” this ranking system will be applied to all NODWIN Gaming tournaments including the ESL India Premiership, DreamHack India, KO Fight Nights, The Northeast Cup, and PAN Fest. PUBG MOBILE, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Clash of Clans, and FIFA will be a part of this new system.

A final leaderboard table will be calculated at the end of the year, with the top performers recognized and rewarded at an award show. The broadcast of the tour will be available on Airtel’s digital platforms.

Airtel is one of India’s biggest telecom companies and provides landline, mobile, and broadband services to a large portion of the country. It is operated by several subsidiaries of Bharti Airtel Limited which is a part of Bharti Enterprises, an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in New Delhi, India. For the quarter ended March 31, 2020, Bharti Airtel Limited reported consolidated revenues of INR 237.2M ($3.14B USD).

While the Airtel India Esports Tour will initially only be seeded in NODWIN Gaming’s tournaments, both companies have said that their goal is to make the tour a platform used by all tournaments in the region.
