Brazilian esports organization FURIA announced a multi-year partnership with global sportswear brand Nike Database-Link-e1521645463907. A co-branded uniform was revealed during ESL One Cologne on July 2, where FURIA competed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Database-Link-e1521645463907 (CS:GO).

This is Nike’s first dedicated collaboration with an esports team. Nike dipped its proverbial toe into esports in 2018, signing its first endorsement deal with Chinese League of Legends Database-Link-e1521645463907 player Jian “Uzi” Zihao. In February, the apparel giant signed a four-year partnership deal with TJ Sports for China’s League of Legends Pro League Database-Link-e1521645463907 (LPL).

FURIA revealed the partnership on its website, but provided no other details aside from the fact that it would take place “over the next few years.”

On Twitter, FURIA shared the news with a video featuring clips from CS:GO, Dota 2 Database-Link-e1521645463907, and PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Database-Link-e1521645463907 (PUBG); implying that Nike will sponsor all three teams.

Founded in 2017, FURIA has garnered attention this year for making the semi-finals at Dreamhack Masters Dallas 2019 Database-Link-e1521645463907, defeating established teams such as Vitality Database-Link-e1521645463907 and Fnatic Database-Link-e1521645463907. FURIA is now the top Brazilian CS:GO team—surpassing MiBR Database-Link-e1521645463907—and ranked number seven in the world, according to HLTV rankings.
