The NBA 2K League has announced a new online tournament that will take place amidst the league’s season postponement due to concerns regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown will feature teams of three organized by fans which compete in an online bracket.

Top performing teams from this bracket will then have the opportunity to compete against three-person teams comprised of NBA 2K League players and other influencers for a share of a $25K USD prize pool.

Like most major esports leagues, the NBA 2K League had its schedule impacted by the spread of coronavirus, postponing its season opener last week. While the league stated at the time that it was exploring options to broadcast “exhibitions and other content.”

The $25K prize pool will be divided amongst the fan and league teams, with $15K going to the two highest-placing fan teams in the mixed tournament, $9K to the top two league teams, and an additional $1K for the winners of the fan-only bracket.
