Natus Vincere beat FaZe to secure IEM Katowice 2019 Semi-final spot – esportsjunkie

Na’Vi managed to confirm their presence in the Semi-finals of the IEM Katowice 2019 in an easy manner, defeating FaZe on two maps.

The first quarter-final of the tournament kicked off on Inferno, which was FaZe’s map, where Na’Vi managed to win the pistol round due to an ace from Egor ‘flamie’ Vasilyev. Na’Vi built on that lead, but not for long, as the match quickly turned into a one-sided first-half, with FaZe closing the half with a 10-5 lead.

The second half began in a similar manner, with ‘flamie’ making another ace during the pistol round. However, the next two rounds have been won by FaZe and it seemed that the map goes their way. Anyhow, Na’Vi’s in-game leader, Danylo ‘Zeus’ Teslenko, stepped up his game and killed multiple players in the following next rounds to give his team a comfortable 14-12 lead.

Finally, Na’Vi managed to lock down the map at 16-13 and head into the second map, Mirage, high on confidence.

The Ukrainian side started Mirage in a decent manner and ended up leading 9-6 at halftime. The second half was one-team show, as Na’Vi thrashed FaZe with a convincing 16-7 scoreline.

Na’Vi will now face ENCE in the Semi-finals of the IEM Katowice 2019 and are in with a good chance of reaching the Final.
