N3rd Street Gamers (NSG) has partnered with Ultimate Media Ventures (UMV) to launch a new esports venue in Southern Calfornia.
Opening in June, Localhost Battleground will be opened in UMV’s headquarters in Huntington Beach, California, acting as a host venue for esports events.
Localhost Battleground will span 22,000 square feet and host events on both a weekly and monthly basis, as well as additional tournaments with prize pools starting at $10,000 (£7,687). It’ll be the third venue under the Localhost brand to be opened by NSG, joining one in Philadelphia and another in Lakewood, Colorado.
Jon Bukosky, CEO & Founder of Ultimate Media Ventures commented in a release: “We are excited to keep pushing and innovating our esports and gaming communities by bringing them activations and experiences with our partner, N3rd Street Gamers. The ‘Battleground’ concept is the first of many collaborations between our two companies you will see rolling out across North America in 2019 and 2020.”
N3rd Street Gamers appointed Spectra as its sponsorship sales representative in April and entered a strategic partnership with Esports Stadium Arlington just a few weeks prior.
Ryan Barr, Chief Operating Officer at N3rd Street Gamers added: “Bringing Localhost to Southern California allows us to produce more frequent events for the National Championship Series and extends our reach to the West Coast. Localhost Battleground at Ultimate Media Ventures will allow us to host more recurring, standardized opportunities for players to earn NCS points, prizes, and support for travel to our competitions.”
Esports Insider says: N3rd Street Gamers is making moves as of late. Not only does it have a growing list of partners but it’s working hard to create a network of venues for amateur and semi-professionals to compete in, so we’re happy to see ventures like this come to life.
