Gaming equipment manufacturer Logitech announced it is promoting its Logitech G Challenge in Brazil for the seventh consecutive year. The tournament will distribute around $30K USD (BRL150K) in prizes, holding League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, and Project Cars 2 competitions.
The event will be produced, organized, and broadcast by Webedia Gaming, a division of the French Webedia in Brazil, which holds the rights to the gaming news website IGN in Brazil and is also one of the main esports news channels in the country, the Versus.
This is the third year Webedia Gaming has organized the Logitech G Challenge, which due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be held completely online and will only include Brazilian teams. The only exception to this rule will be the winners of the Project Cars 2 competition, who will qualify for the Logitech McLaren G Challenge, an international tournament divided into four regions.
Esports organization Santos HotForex is one of the most prominent Brazillian teams to have a sponsorship deal with Logitech in the region, mainly due to its performance in last year’s challenge.
