Immortals Gaming Club has announced two new partnerships with GameStop and work glove manufacturer Ironclad Performance Wear, both focused at least in part on its League of Legends team.
GameStop’s partnership will focus on activating around the amateur League of Legends community in part through content creation. Ironclad Performance Wear has developed performance PC gaming gloves developed and product-tested with players across IGC’s rosters. In 2020, the gloves will be made available to fans with branding for both Immortals, and IGC’s Brazilian team brand, MIBR.
Immortals Gaming Club was originally founded as Immortals – a League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) team. The organization was not selected as a long term partner when the LCS moved to a franchise model and has been out of League of Legends since the end of 2017. With its acquisition of OpTic Gaming in June, IGC acquired a spot in the LCS, which it rebranded to Immortals. The new Immortals will make its debut when the 2020 LCS season begins in January.
