HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston Technology Company, will be the exclusive supplier for all Red Bull esports events organised this year.
In its role as an exclusive supplier, HyperX will provide headsets, keyboards, mice, mouse pads, and internal hardware for all of Red Bull’s esports for the rest of 2019.
The partnership will start with this weekend’s Red Bull Rise Till Dawn event in Chicago’s famed Willis Tower. The deal will also see HyperX supply products to Red Bull Esports Arena.
Sandra Jurgens, Marketing Events Lead at HyperX commented on the deal: “HyperX is excited to continue our relationship with Red Bull for their esports events and tournaments in 2019. Working with a global leader like Red Bull makes perfect sense for both brands. Our premier gaming gear ensures the elite competitors at these top events can perform at their highest levels, and Red Bull’s audience allows us to showcase our products to their vast, diverse audience of customers and gamers.”
Red Bull Rise Till Dawn will feature a Halo 3 tournament with up to 200 players competing. Made up of duos, the two players that accumulate the most points will take home a $10,000 (£7,978). Computer hardware company Alienware has also been listed as an official partner of the Rise Till Dawn event – however, the details of the collaboration haven’t been disclosed at this time.
Esports Insider says: Partnerships aside, it’s great to see Red Bull getting back involved with the Halo series – especially considering the rich history between the two. The classic variants of Halo have been utilised a lot in 2019 alone with large-scale tournaments arranged by UGC, DreamHack, and FACEIT. If there’s anyone that can help give competitive Halo wings again, it’s Red Bull.
