Today, Chinese live streaming platform Huya announced that its board of directors added Tsang Wah Kwong as an independent director, effective today. Tsang, a former partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong and China, currently also serves as an independent non-executive director of several publicly-traded Chinese companies. The new independent director’s credentials include over 30 years of experience in auditing and providing support for initial public offerings and acquisition transactions.
The company also made public that Xiaopeng He resigned as an independent director from the board of directors and as a member of each committee of the board due to personal reasons with immediate effect.
Furthermore, Huya’s board of directors approved several changes to its board committees. Tsang was appointed as a member of the audit committee, compensation committee, and nominating and corporate governance committee. Zhi Cheng, a director of Huya, was appointed as a member and the chairman of the compensation committee and Lingdong Huang, chairman of the board of directors, has been appointed as a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee.
