Cyberport will host the Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF), the first esports forum to take place in Hong Kong, on July 16-18th.
The event will focus heavily on a number of hot topics, including esports market trends and the ecosystem, business prospects, commercialisation & monetisation opportunities, regional dynamics, and more.
The Main event will take place on July 16th, bringing together over 30 esteemed and renowned industry figures to discuss the aforementioned topics and more. There will also be a collection of side events – such as the Game Zone, the Tech Zone, the Venturer Zone, and exhibition esports matches – following on from the forum.
Hong Kong was chosen as the host location for DELF as esports is quickly developing and making a name for itself as an industry there. The Financial Secretary allocated $100 milllion (£79.5 million) to Cyberport in its 2018-2019 budget to promote the development of esports in the area.
The objective of DELF is to provide attendees with a well-rounded vision of what esports is, and what it can be, both locally and on an international scale. Speakers from around the globe will share insights and their thoughts during the event, with the hope of opening more eyes towards the potential of the industry. It’ll also provide delegates with the opportunity to meet like-minded people, including those with positions in esports’ most prominent companies.
