The retailer will be a presenting sponsor of the OWL after party and will give fans a chance to win party access and merchandise through social media activations on-site.

“The esports scene continues to flourish in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and we are excited to see our hometown partner, Dallas Fuel, host the first-ever Overwatch League homestand in front of thousands of fans this weekend,” Frank Hamlin, chief marketing officer for GameStop told The Esports Observer.
GameStop reported a 7.9% drop in net sales YoY for the fourth quarter of 2018 and recently named its fifth CEO in the span of a year. The retail giant now turns its attention to the $1.1B USD esports industry through content partnerships and sponsorships, particularly in its home state of Texas.
