Fnatic vs Team BDS on Saturday will decide which team will advance to the Worlds Main Event, and which will have to play in the WQS.
The 2023 LEC Season Finals is coming to and end with only four teams remaining for the last hurdle towards this year’s Worlds. After the elimination of SK Gaming and Excel Esports, only Team BDS, Fnatic, G2 Esports and MAD Lions are left standing, with all of them getting a shot at the World Championship: G2 and MAD have already qualified for the Main Event, while BDS and Fnatic will have to decide who gets the third spot.

The black-and-orange squad have risen from the ashes after a horrible Winter and Spring Split. The addition of Oh “Noah” Hyeon-taek and Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus saved the team from elimination as they made it to the playoffs of the Summer Split, securing the 5th place in the yearly standings and the Season Finals. Even though their performance was far from perfect, they became a very capable team, beating opponents such as KOI, MAD Lions and Team Heretics.
They faced off against Excel Esports in the first round of the Season Finals, and while they had to go to the 5th game of the series, they managed to knock Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu and his team out of the Season Finals. They are still a team that thrives in the early stages of the game, but if need be, Noah and Marek “Humanoid” Brázda can step up in the lategame as well. While Oscarinin won’t play this weeked due to an arm injury, the returning Wunder will most likely be able to fill the young Spaniard’s shoes.

Team BDS
Team BDS almost made history by winning their first ever LEC title back in Spring, but MAD Lions denied that opportunity from Jus “Crownie” Marusic and his teammates. However, Team BDS made it to the Group Stage of both the Winter and Summer LEC Splits, and with the silver medal of Spring, they finished 3rd overall in the Season, getting to the upper bracket of the Season Finals.
They faced G2 Esports in the first round, and while they were defeated, they managed to take one game from the Kings of Europe. On the Lower Bracket, they blew SK Gaming out of water with a 3-0 victory – but can they beat Fnatic in for the Main Event Spot?

Fnatic vs Team BDS Predictions
Fnatic had an incredible resurgence during the Summer Split, so it’s safe to say that they are the team more likely to clutch this victory. If their general performance wasn’t enough, Fnatic also beat Team BDS in the 3rd week of the LEC Summer Split in a 42-minute game, which was full of ups and downs, but ultimately, Fnatic came out on top. I expect that the Saturday series will go very similarly, with BDS putting up a good fight, but ultimately failing to beat Fnatic.
