StreamElements announced that its livestreaming tools have been integrated into Facebook Gaming.
Founded in 2016, StreamElements provides services to personalities that stream on Twitch and YouTube. Services include custom overlays, contests, chatbots, and monetization options. The service has been used by a number of well-known streamers, including Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek.
The new Facebook Gaming integration includes OBS.Live, an add-on to StreamElement’s Open Broadcast Software for video recording and streaming. In addition, Facebook streamers will have access to tipping tools, stream overlays, media requests, and a post-stream report that tracks data such as view count, unique fans, and tips.
Several streamers will host broadcasts on Facebook Gaming throughout the week to showcase the new tools. Streamers include David “StoneMountain64” Steinberg, groups Greek God Gaming, NorkaGaming, and others.

“We’re always looking for new ways to make live streaming easier and more rewarding for our growing community of gaming creators,” said Colin Creitz, engineer for Facebook Gaming in a release. “The new StreamElements integration makes it even easier for Facebook Gaming creators to flex their creativity, manage their streams, engage with their communities and earn money while they do it.”
Facebook attended the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and hosted livestreams from its company booth. According to the social network, more than 700M people play games, watch gaming videos, or engage in gaming groups on Facebook.
According to StreamElements, the company increased its user base by over 600% in 2018 and streamer donations grew to $15M USD. The company previously said in a release that it expects creator revenue to exceed $40M in 2019.
In January, StreamElements closed a Series A funding round that raised $11.3M. The funding round was led by Pitango VC and joined by previous investors State of Mind Ventures, Rainfall VC, and Samsung Next, among others.
