EVOS Esports’ Talent Management Arm Partners With TikTok – The Esports Observer|home of essential esports business news and insights

WHIM Indonesia (WHIM), which manages Southeast Asian team organization EVOS Esports as well as several gaming talents in the region, has partnered with TikTok. The Multi-Channel Network (MCN) agreement with the short-video platform will see greater exposure for WHIM talents, with the company also hosting workshops on audience development and content creation, and offering additional assistance in brand deals, content programming creator collaborations, digital rights management, and monetization.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In the announcement, WHIM stated it has over 60 talents with TikTok verified accounts amounting to over 69M total monthly views and over 12M followers on the platform to-date. WHIM also has partnerships in place with YouTube and Instagram. 

TikTok is providing an experimental avenue for gaming content creators. Esports-related companies including ESL and Riot Games having built campaigns around the platform, while gaming personalities such as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Imane “Pokimane” Anys have amassed over a million followers on their respective accounts. ByteDance, the company behind TikTok, is reportedly building its own gaming studio focusing on competitive titles.
