The Spring Season of the Premiership had its final in the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, with the Summer Season’s final taking place in Leicester. The final of the Winter Season will return to Manchester. Tickets for the event will be made available from September 24th.
Beginning on October 16th, the Winter Season will have two days of play for three weeks. From there, it will have one play day for a week leading into the playoffs on November 13th. The live final will be hosted on November 23rd.
Team Secret has decided to move on from the ESL Rainbow Six Premiership in an effort to compete internationally, so Natus Vincere is undoubtedly the team to beat during the season. Fierce Esports, ESSENCE, ‘Soon to be named,’ and ‘Looking for org’ will all be involved, with three more teams qualifying on September 24th.
In January, Intel extended its headline sponsorship of the ESL Premiership to cover the entirety of 2019. ESL UK followed that up in May by announcing that Currys PC World would be also a headline sponsor for the competition.
Esports Insider says: ESL UK is doing a great job at providing a platform for amateur and semi-professional players and teams, as displayed through the likes of Natus Vincere acquiring a Premiership roster. We’re glad to see the competition return once again and the significant increase in prize pool should act as a good incentive for new talent to attempt to qualify.
