Epic Games has announced a new $2M USD Fortnite competition–the Fortnite Championship Series Invitational (FNCS). The solo competition will feature the best players from North America ( East and West), Europe, Brazil, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East, in addition to direct invites by Epic Games.

The FNCS starts on May 9 and will run for three consecutive weekends as players battle to advance in stages and prize money won. In addition to the top players and direct invites, an Open Qualifier for 100 more “Champion” ranked players in each region will have an opportunity to earn an invite to the FNCS Invitational.

The event will be a Solo competition using a new scoring format and will feature its own prizing each week.
