announced a new FortniteThe Fortnite World Cup Warmup Semi-Finals will be held on Saturday, April 6, during a three-hour window.
Fortnite includes a mode called Arena, in which every player is given a rank. Everyone works their way up from Open League (Division One) to Champion League (Division Seven) by earning “Hype” points.

Any Duo (Fornite team of two) that has reached Division Six, i.e. Contender’s League, in Arena mode will be eligible to participate in the World Cup Warmup Semi-Finals. The top 1,500 Duos in each region will advance to the Finals on Sunday, April 7.
Epic Games will release full rules for the Fortnite World Cup Warmup later this week.
As the tournament name implies, the “Warmup” tournament will keep players engaged leading up to the World Cup qualifiers beginning on April 13. Each weekly qualifier will award $1M in total prizing, which will be distributed “broadly” to the participants, according to a statement.
The Fornite World Cup will take place in New York City from July 26-28 and offer a $30M prize pool, the highest ever developer-funded prize pool in esports history.
