Tournament organizer and platform FACEIT will hold its Season 8 Finals for the Esports Championship Series (ECS) at the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas, the company has announced.
The $750K Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition will be held during Thanksgiving weekend, from Nov. 28-Dec. 1. Eight teams will compete in the Finals, with four each from North America and Europe following the regular season of online matches. FACEIT previously held the Season 6 ECS Finals at Esports Stadium Arlington from Nov. 22-25 last year.
“We’re extremely excited to be returning to the Esports Stadium Arlington again for the ECS Finals. The Season 6 Finals were a huge success, and this year we want to give our North American fans a flawless competition,” said FACEIT co-founder and Chief Business Officer Michele Attisani, in a release. “The venue is in an awesome location. It’s on the doorstep of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, creating a natural buzz of iconic competition and fan-focused atmosphere.”
FACEIT will also continue its exclusive content partnership with Caffeine for the ECS Season 8 Finals, bringing back the “ECS After Dark” show that first debuted during the ECS Season 7 Finals in June. Caffeine will also host an ECS Community Caster Challenge, in which aspiring casters can provide commentary to ECS Pinnacle Cup and regular season matches. The top casters will be invited to the Season 8 Finals.
