DreamHack and Caffeine Ink Global Streaming Partnership

Caffeine will broadcast Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 tournaments from DreamHack events for the rest of 2019.

The livestreaming service will also produce a DreamHack-based “Overtime” show from each event it broadcasts.

Caffeine will also feature streamers that include DreamHack content in their own livestreams.

has signed a global partnership with livestreaming platform Caffeine

, which will see the site broadcast from several of 2019’s DreamHack events.

Caffeine will broadcast events on a non-exclusive basis starting with this weekend’s DreamHack Open Rio 2019, and continue on through this year’s DreamHack events in locations such as Dallas, Texas; Jönköping, Sweden; and Sevilla, Spain. The partnership is focused on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 DreamHack tournaments, and Caffeine will broadcast 10 such tournaments in total.

Additionally, Caffeine will produce an exclusive DreamHack-centric “Overtime” show from each event, featuring behind-the-scenes footage, guest interviews, and interactive elements for viewers.

“We are extremely excited to sign this content partnership with Caffeine, as we have followed their entry to the streaming market closely and been very excited about their new and innovative product offering,” said DreamHack CEO Marcus Lindmark in a release. “DreamHack and Caffeine share the same vision to make [the] esports viewer experience more social and interactive. Their broadcasting platform creates new ways to consume esports content, and DreamHack can reach new fans and gamers globally with our distribution.”

Caffeine will also feature streams that host their own live shows using the DreamHack content, and any Caffeine user can host a live DreamHack stream via his or her own channel.

The platform, which received a $100M USD investment from 21st Century Fox

in September, also recently secured non-exclusive global streaming rights to the FIFA 19 Global Series, including the FIFA eWorld Cup.
