The long wait is finally over, as the Dota 2 Battle Pass is finally available and we’ve got the low-down on what’s inside.
Following the end of the regular DPC and the Majors, it is time to focus on the most important esports tournament of the year. The International 11 will take place around a month and a half from now in Singapore. Unsurprisingly, the event will bring together the best teams in the world, some of which have already received an invitation.
Aside from being the most prestigious Dota 2 event, The International is also the event with the largest prize pool in the world. The main reason for the large prize pool is the fact that the community contributes to the prize by buying something known as a “Battle Pass”. The latter contains a variety of perks, such as exclusive items.
Many Dota 2 players like having the Battle Pass because it allows them to get amazing items. Valve always tries to provide people with something unique, and it did not fail this time. So, let’s do an overview of the things you can expect to find inside this year’s Battle Pass.
Dota 2 Battle Pass – a tale of two parts
One of the new and interesting things about this year’s battle pass is the fact that it has two parts. The first one will be valid from September 1 to November 2, whereas the second one is from November 3 to January 12.
Unsurprisingly, each part of this item will give people access to a lot of things, such as Immortal Treasures and all sorts of other perks. Speaking of rewards, the only way to get those things is by leveling up. In fact, you can get a special level 50 or level 100 bundle right away.
Dota 2 Battle Pass – TI’s prize pool
As mentioned earlier, the reason The International has a large prize pool than any other Dota 2 tournament is because of the community. When players get the Battle Pass or simply purchase levels for it will have a 25% contribution for the prize pool. In other words, 1 / 4 of the money you pay will help increase the event’s reward.
At the time of writing this article, TI 11 has a whopping $7.5M prize pool. Of course, this will increase a lot in the future because there is still time for the big event.
Dota 2 Battle Pass rewards
This is definitely the most exciting part of this 2022 Dota 2 Battle Pass review because it will focus on the rewards you can get. Unsurprisingly, you can expect to find a wide array of options.
Void’s Arcana
The first big item that is also one of the most controversial ones is Faceless Void’s Arcana. Valve calls it Claszian Apostasy, and it transforms the hero from the ground up. Like every other Arcana, this one changes a lot of things, such as the model and the pedestal. Of course, Void also gets custom animations and special effects. Each of his abilities has a new animation which you can see in the video above.
In addition to everything mentioned so far, Faceless Void also gets a new hero portrait, ability icons, minimap icons and even special things for Mask of Madness. Maelstorm and Mjollnir. These are some of the most popular items that people get when playing with Faceless Void. Lastly, Void’s Arcana also offers exclusive voice lines, special kill and item effects, as well as downloadable wallpapers.
It is also worth knowing that Faceless Void’s Arcana also has a second style. Also known as the “Claszian Supremacy”, this alternative style becomes available once you get 250 points. The latter can be obtained by killing people inside your Chronosphere.
Razor’s Arcana
Aside from Faceless Void, this year’s Battle Pass will also include a second Arcana. This one will be for Razor, which is one of the hottest cores in the last couple of months. We do not know a lot of information about this item yet, but Valve said it would become available in Part II of the Battle Pass.
Phantom Assassin’s Persona
The persona items became extremely popular once the first item of the series was released for Invoker. Aside from the mid laner, Pudge and Anti-Mage, Phantom Assassin becomes the next hero on the list who will have access to this item.
Crystal Maiden’s Persona
In addition to Phantom Assassin, Crystal Maiden is also going to get a persona. It will arrive in part 2 of the Battle Pass, so we can’t wait to see it in action. As mentioned, we will have to wait for a couple of months before it comes to play.
Dota 2 Battle Pass – Other perks
Every Battle Pass is full of options, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that this one also has an impressive array of perks. In addition to everything mentioned so far, we will also have access to our favorite Immortal Treasures. The first one includes items for the following heroes:
- Templar Assassin
- Hoodwink
- Enchantress
- Centaur Warrunner
- Meepo
- Bristleback
- Venomancer
We will also have access to things like custom towers, taunts, couriers, wards, and loads of other cosmetic items. Another thing that’s new and looks very interesting is the Spray. This will be a new chat wheel function that will let people spray images on the minimap. Interestingly, they will remain active even after death.
Emoticons, consumables, chat wheel sounds
If everything mentioned so far is not enough, Valve will also add a bunch of fun emoticons. What’s even more interesting is that the company will also allow people to use consumable items, such as the Donkey Ballons. Those things were popular a couple of years ago, so we are glad that Valve brought them back.
As for the Chat Wheel sounds, you can expect to find a wide range of options. In addition to things like Chicken, Elephant and a bunch ofo ther animals, there are also different caster packs.

The 2022 Dota 2 Battle Pass contains tons of other things that we just can’t summarize in a single article. There are loads of special things people will have access to, including stickers, exclusive unlockable rewards, supporter’s club & fantasy, weekly quests, enhanced tipping, and so much more.
The new Dota 2 Battle Pass will even allow us to access the Cavern Crawl, The latter was very popular last year, and it included a wide range of special sets.
